Rain and thunderstorms rolled across southeast Iowa Wednesday. Washington observed nearly half an inch of precipitation according to AccuWeather with 0.44 inches of rain. Just north of Washington there were reports of heavier rainfalls, including 1.45 inches at North English and just over an inch at Riverside and Kalona. So far this month, Washington has observed 1.75 inches of precipitation, still below the normal of 2.5 inches. Partly sunny skies are expected this weekend for Washington with high temperatures in the 70’s. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
