Mass at St. James in Washington was led by Bishop Amos Friday. The Bishop was there to celebrate 150 years of Catholic education in Washington. Speaking of the day he said, “These things are always wonderful, because there’s so much excitement. When you think of 150 years of education going here that’s phenomenal.” In addition to leading Mass, Bishop Amos blessed the school doors and the classrooms while students assisted and observed.

Also in attendance of the celebration was Marie Vittetoe, the oldest living graduate of St. James School; she is a member of the class of 1941. Vittetoe was there with four of her siblings, all of whom attended St. James School.
