The Washington County Board of Supervisors and the Washington City Council are working together to find a contractor to operate the county recycling center, but they’ve encountered a hiccup. Supervisor Jack Seward explained four bids were received with monthly costs to the county ranging from $9,000 to $2,000. It seems there was some misinterpretation of the scope of work on the request for proposal documents. The supervisors are going to contact the four contractors and seek clarification on the bids and whether or not they included the tipping fees. The work session will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
