A senior for the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves volleyball team (12-16 overall) leads the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North in digs. Sophie Kongable has recorded 312 digs in 62 sets this fall, an average of five digs per set.

Kongable entered the week with 42 more digs than anyone else in SEISC North. Highland’s Kelsey Hora ranks second, making 270 digs in 69 sets.

Kongable posted a season-best 33 digs in a four-set victory over the Iowa Mennonite School (22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 27-25) on September 6. Kara Wade is the only other Wolf with more than 200 digs, recording 212 in 65 sets.

Kongable and the W-MU Wolves travel to Wapello tonight for a league match versus the Arrows (16-6 overall). First serve is set for 7:30 p.m. at Wapello High School.
