Despite the recent warm temperatures, plans are underway to help local children stay warm this winter. The Washington Public Library and the Farm Bureau Financial Services Ann C. Williams Office are partnering up for a program called Warm Up Washington. They are collecting donations of new or gently-used winter coats, snow pants and boots for kids. All winter apparel donations can be dropped off at the office or at the public library through Saturday. Distribution of the items will begin next week.
