Transportation, nutrition, activity and finance reports for last school year were discussed at Wednesday’s Washington School Board meeting. Business Manager Jeff Dieleman explained he’s pleased with the numbers for the school’s financial report. Regarding transportation, last year the average cost per mile was $5.24, up from $4.89 the year before. The average number of students transported daily also increased from 601.1 in 2015 to 652.6 last year, for an average cost per student transported of nearly $860. The average cost per student transported decreased by about $10 from 2015, and is down $65 from 2014.
