The Winfield-Mt. Union Wolves enter tonight’s matchup with the Pekin Panthers in search of their second win on the year.

The Wolves are 1-5 coming into week seven, following a loss last week against Montezuma 49-7. On the year the Wolves are led by Austin Lee through the air who is 22 of 54 for 255 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. His favorite target is Bryce Robison with seven catches for 123 yards and one touchdown. On the ground the Wolves are led by Robison with 32 carries for 123 yards and a touchdown.

Pekin comes into the game even on the year at 3-3. Last time out the Panthers lost to Lynnville Sully 43-14. Through the air Trevor Northup and Caleb Comstock have combined to go 18 of 53 for 504 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. Chandler Eckely is their favorite target with seven catches for 269 yards and three scores. On the ground Tyler Copeland has 62 carries for 320 yards and three touchdowns.

These two teams met last year in a de facto district championship game that went to the Wolves by a 16-12 score.  Action begins tonight at 7:30 at Pekin High School.
