A baseball bat was used in two separate incidents Washington Police responded to over the holiday weekend. The first, according to the Washington Communications Office, happened Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of South 4th Avenue and East Harrison Street. A fight was reported in the street and an ambulance was requested for one person with a facial injury. The ambulance did not transport anyone. At least one subject had a baseball bat.

The second incident happened Thanksgiving Day in the Hy-Vee parking lot at 9:10 a.m. According to the report one person struck another person with a baseball bat and one person was taken by ambulance to Washington County Hospital and Clinics. No names and no arrests were listed in the report.

Washington Police Chief Greg Goodman had no comment at this time and stated a full report will be released when appropriate. KCII News will bring you more information as it becomes official.
