With freezing temperatures area firefighters responded to a hog building on fire early Saturday morning. The fire was on Airport Road in Washington, just northeast of the Washington Municipal Airport at about 4 a.m. To add to the cold temperatures there were wind speeds of 30 miles per hour with gusts reaching about 40 miles per hour. Washington Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire and had mutual aid from Ainsworth Fire Department, which also brought a tanker truck with more water.

KCII will bring more information when it becomes official.
