The Keota Tour of Homes is returning this year on Saturday, December 3rd, and organizer Sheila Horras says there’s a lot more going on than what the title may imply. The day will begin at 10 a.m. with a holiday market at St. Mary’s Hall, where 30 vendors will be selling crafts and homemade items. The market will run until 2 p.m., then the tour of homes will kick off at 2:30 p.m. According to Horras, there are four homes in Keota people will have the opportunity to visit. The tour of homes will run until 7 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., the Keota High School speech department is sponsoring a soup supper and festival of trees at Lagos Acres that will run until 7:30 p.m.

Horras encourages people to attend the Keota Tour of Homes, because it’s an opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit without having to go very far. She says, “I think that we have some particularly amazing homes this year. And then the fact that we have a market before, and you can do the tour of homes, and then you can eat supper. So you can spend the whole day in one place.” The market is free to attend, and the tour of homes will cost $10, with all proceeds for both going towards the Eagle Advocates organization. The soup supper has no charge, though free-will donations will be accepted with all funds going to the Keota speech department.
