The Lone Tree Lady Lion basketball team stayed perfect in the early season with a victory over Iowa Mennonite School 60-24 in Lone Tree Tuesday.

The Lady Lions set the tone at the defensive end, forcing 19 first half turnovers, allowing just five first half field goals, building a 14-2 lead after one quarter and lead 28-13 at the half. Lone Tree kept control of the game, beginning the second half on a 14-4 run that lasted the entire quarter to put the game out of reach. The Lady Lions enacted a running clock with four minutes remaining in the game.

Lone Tree forced 33 total turnovers in the game. The Lady Lions were led by Madison Forbes with 18 points, Elena Sieverding added 14. Suzanna Yoder led IMS with 14. With the win Lone Tree is now 4-0 on the year and travels to Louisa-Muscatine Friday. IMS is now 0-2 on the year, they host Wapello Friday night.
