Rain, hail and lightning could be seen in Washington County early Wednesday. The storm brought pea-sized to half inch diameter hail near Wellman according to a trained weather spotter. Washington received 0.34 inches of rain.

According to the National Weather Service, it’s been a warm start to November with the average temperature 20 degrees above normal. So far this month, the average temperature observed in Washington has been 66 degrees, while normally in the first three days it is 45.4 degrees. This is the record highest average temperature to start the month. Also, the average maximum temperature is the record highest at 77 degrees. Normally it is 56.6 degrees.
