The volleyball coaches of the South Iowa Cedar League recognized a Sigourney junior for her efforts on the court this fall. The league released this year’s all-conference teams recently, and Leah Carter was named as the conference’s second-team setter. She’s been named to the second team all-conference squad now three years in a row..

Carter concluded her year with 393 assists in 74 sets. She eclipsed 1,000 career assists at the WACO volleyball tournament in August. She facilitated on 482 points as a sophomore and made 511 assists during her freshman season.

Autumn Barthelman and Brooke Waechter are Sigourney’s honorable mention all-conference performers. The Savages’ volleyball team finished the season with a 7-20 overall record. Sigourney will lose Anna Ohland to graduation.
