A Washington woman was sentenced Wednesday to 50 months in prison on drug related charges. Thirty-five-year-old Brandy Kay Reschly was sentenced by U.S. District Court for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Reschly pleaded guilty and admitted to participating in a conspiracy to distribute meth beginning as early as May 2015 and continuing through November 2015.

Reschly was arrested in West Chester in March on federal drug charges. This was a result of a meth trafficking investigation conducted by law enforcement in Washington, Johnson, Muscatine and Blackhawk counties in Iowa and Phoenix, Arizona. Washington County Sheriff’s Department, the Johnson County Drug Task Force, the Washington Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case.
