Washington County’s current contract for the recycling center ends at the end of the month and a contract is under consideration for a new operator. At this week’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting Supervisor Jack Seward explained a draft contract was been sent to the manager of WEMIGA to review. The contract will have an addendum with prices for certain items, like tires, and then be sent back to be reviewed by the county and city attorneys. The supervisors and Washington City Council approved working with WEMIGA to run the Washington County Recycling Center. Seward said the contract should be up for consideration by the board next Tuesday.
