Three members of this year’s Winfield-Mount Union Wolves football team (1-8) earned postseason accolades for their efforts during the squad’s 1-8 campaign. WMU was represented on the Class A District 6 first team by Jordan Hudson, Broc Mullin, and Kaleb Hagge.

Hudson was selected as a first-team all district defensive lineman. He led the Wolves with 38 solo tackles and 49 total tackles. Hudson also recovered two fumbles and caught an interception in his final high school football game against the New London Tigers.

Mullin was named to the first-team all-district squad as a defensive utility player. His three interceptions tied for the district lead and he returned one of those for a touchdown. Mullin also tallied 27.5 total tackles.

Hagge was chosen as the first team all-district punter. He amassed a district best 1,253 yards on 37 punts, an average of nearly 34 yards per kick. Hagge’s longest punt was measured at 44 yards.

Jayce Malone and Daunte Oepping are WMU’s all-district honorable mention selections. The Wolves will lose Hudson, Mullin, Bryce Robison, Austin Lee, Trey Newton and Braden Bradley to graduation.
