With the first day of the new year falling on a Sunday, many offices will be closed Monday in observance. The Washington County Courthouse and Washington City Hall will be closed. Also, the United States Postal Service will observe New Year’s Day on Monday, so there will be no mail delivery and post offices will be closed. In addition, banks will be closed. The Washington Public Library will also be closed Monday and will reopen Tuesday.
