A conference road trip awaits the Washington Demon basketball teams tonight. The Demons will visit Keokuk in search of their first Southeast Conference wins versus the Chiefs. Keokuk swept the doubleheader last season.

Tonight marks the third game this week for the Washington boys’ basketball team (1-3). The Demons earned their first victory of the season Monday, a 65-26 triumph on the road versus Sigourney (3-3). Washington fell to the No. 7 Oskaloosa Indians (5-1) in their home opener Tuesday, 90-55. Keokuk is winless in four games this season. The Chiefs scored a season-high 44 points in a 10-point loss to Clark County, Missouri, on Monday.

The Washington girls’ basketball team (1-5) looks to erase a five-game skid. The No. 3 Keokuk Chiefs (3-1) are undefeated against competition inside Iowa. Keokuk suffered a 55-48 loss to Clark County, Missouri, Monday. Washington’s latest setback came Monday in Sigourney, falling 56-40 to the Savages (7-0). Sarah Nacos scored 18 of her team-high 22 points after halftime.
