Tuesday night the No. 10 ranked Mid-Prairie girls basketball team grabbed their first win of the season, taking out the Tipton Tigers on the road 62-51.

Tipton started quickly, holding a 19-14 lead after one quarter and a 40-30 lead at the halftime break. The Golden Hawks made adjustments in the locker room and held the Tigers to just 11 points the rest of the night and only a single point in the third quarter as they completed the comeback. Mid-Prairie was led by Ireland Hostetler’s monster 24 point 13 rebound performance. Addie Rath had 20 points and Ali Butters added 11. With the win Mid-Prairie is now 1-1 on the year and will next be in action Friday when they travel to Northeast Goose Lake.
