The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team was in action at Wilton Tuesday against the Beavers and Iowa City Regina in a conference triangular.

Mid-Prairie split the pair of duals, topping Regina 45-36 and falling to Wilton 54-27.

Against the Regals, the Golden Hawks got wins in contested matches from Jeremiah Boos at 145 by 6-2 decision, Visouth Peterschmidt at 195 by fall, and Jason Tew at 220 by fall.

Against the Beavers, the Golden Hawks got wins in contested matches from Duncan McCain at 132 by fall, Miles Burrows at 138 by fall, Visouth Peterschmidt at 195 by fall, Jason Tew at 220 by fall and Tristan Novy at heavyweight by fall.

The Golden Hawks are back on the mat tonight when they travel to Monticello to face two teams from the River Valley North in the Monticello Panthers and Bellevue Comets. The Hawks come into tonight with an overall dual record of 4-4. Mid-Prairie has two ranked wrestlers in their lineup with Duncan McCain eighth in 2A at 132lbs and Visouth Peterschmidt fifth at 195lbs.

Monticello comes into tonight with a dual record of 1-1 on the season. They have beaten North Cedar and fallen to Camanche. The Panthers have one ranked wrestler in their lineup with Chase Luensman rated eighth at 113lbs.

Bellevue comes into tonight with an overall dual record of 2-7. At their last event they fell to Northeast Goose Lake and Wilton in a triangular. The Comets have one ranked wrestler in their lineup with Mason Lyons sixth in class 1A at 195lbs.

Action begins tonight at 6PM at Monticello High School.
