The Iowa Mennonite School boys basketball team steps outside of Superconference play tonight when they host English Valleys at Hillcrest Union.

IMS dropped a road conference game Tuesday at Winfield-Mt. Union 67-59 in overtime, despite leading by 14 points with just one minute remaining in the third quarter. IMS was led in the game by Nick Yutzy’s 19 points. On the season Mitchell Schmeider and Cole Yoder lead IMS at 10 points per game each. Yutzy holds the team lead with 16 assists, sixth best in the conference and Cole Yoder has a team high 23 rebounds.

English Valleys enters tonight with a 1-6 overall record. In their last game they lost to Keota 67-22. Braydon Fisher led the Bears with 12 points. Fisher leads the Bears on the season at eight points per game. His 13 assists are best on the team and seventh in the South Iowa Cedar League. William Tapken leads English Valleys and is fourth in the SICL with 43 rebounds.

Action begins tonight at 7PM at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.
