The Iowa Mennonite boys basketball team was dominant in Thursdays non-conference win over English Valleys at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.

IMS rolled to a 67-16 win. IMS set the tone early, forcing 17 turnovers in the first quarter and shutting out the Bears 24-0 through the first eight minutes. Iowa Mennonite kept EV off the board entirely for the first 10 minutes of the game and did not allow a field goal for the first 13 and a half minutes of the contest. At the break Iowa Mennonite led 50-3. With the running clock enacted after half time, the second half rolled by as Iowa Mennonite stretched their lead out to more than 50.

Every player for Iowa Mennonite who dressed played and scored. As a team IMS forced 33 total turnovers and only allowed the Bears six field goals in the game. Cole Yoder led IMS with 11 points, Mitchell Schmeider added 10. With the win IMS is now 3-2 on the year and will next be in action Saturday when they travel to Sigourney.
