The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams are back in action tonight when they host Louisa-Muscatine to wrap up the pre-Christmas part of their schedule.

The IMS girls come into tonight with an overall record of 0-6. In their last game they fell to Winfield-Mt. Union 40-25. Suzanna Yoder had 10 points to lead IMS. On the season, Iowa Mennonite is led by Yoder who is averaging 19 points per game, fourth best in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. Her eight assists are also best on the team. Mia Graber leads IMS with 14 rebounds.

Louisa-Muscatine enters tonight’s game with an overall record of 1-6. The Falcons lost at Columbus Tuesday 79-50. They were led by Hailey Sanders and Lani Hillard each with 14 points. On the season L-M is led by Hillard at seven points per game. Alexa Wehrle leads the team and is ninth in the Superconference with 16 assists. Mariah Pugh leads the Falcons and is seventh in the conference with 46 rebounds.

These two teams met twice a year ago with the Falcons sweeping the series, winning 45-21 in Kalona and 45-15 in Letts.

The Iowa Mennonite boys enter tonight with an overall record of 4-3. They knocked off Sigourney on the road Saturday 59-28. Cole Yoder led IMS in the game with 19 points. On the year IMS is led by Yoder at 11 points per game. He also leads the team and is sixth in the conference with 33 rebounds. Nick Yutzy is best on the team and leads the conference with 35 assists.

Louisa-Muscatine enters tonight with an overall record of 1-5. In their last game they beat Columbus 66-52. On the season the Falcons are led by Brady Walker, averaging 11 points per game. Zack Bieri leads the team with 10 assists. Brady Walker leads L-M with 18 rebounds.

These two teams met twice a year ago, splitting the season series. IMS won in Kalona 56-54 at Letts the Falcons took the contest 60-53.

This game also signifies the 25th anniversary celebration of the 1992 boys state basketball championship team at Iowa Mennonite. There will be activities to celebrate that team during the course of the game at Hillcrest Union and KCII will air a special interview series during the night with five members of that championship squad Adam Ingersoll, Randy Rempel, Tim Smith, Aaron Swartzendruber and Jason Hershberger.
