The City of Keota is considering annexing properties. The Keota City Council will convene for a meeting Monday, and one of the items on the agenda is to set a date for a public hearing regarding annexation. The city is looking into annexing properties at 2030, 2034, and 2038 Keokuk-Washington Road. To annex, the City’s boundary would be extended around these properties. Other items on the agenda include employee evaluations for City Clerk Niki Osweiler and Police Officer Doug Conrad, and the possible approval of a resolution accepting the voluntary agreement and consent for demolition and clearing of 206 South Ellis Street for the city’s property revitalization project. The public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Keota City Council Chambers.
