Construction on the newest structure at Marr Park has been completed, though the new storage building is going to be very dark for a while longer. According to Washington County Conservation Director Steve Anderson, they are moving forward with putting the lights and outlets into the building. In its current state it is functional, though it’s akin to a cave until you open the door. Anderson was pleased with the work the construction company did, and is anxious to move forward with the lights. They have contracted a local company to install the lighting for the building, because Anderson says they wanted to support local sources. His hope is that the lights will be installed and the storage building can be fully utilized before the year is over. The building will be used to store the majority of the park’s equipment, as well as some smaller vehicles.
