The Mid-Prairie wrestling team competed at Saturday’s Jeremy Fulk Classic at New London High School. The Golden Hawks sent three to the top of the podium in competition.

. Duncan McCain won the championship at 132lbs. McCain rolled to a perfect 6-0 record on the day and beat Rashaun Braggs of Oskaloosa in the final by fall. McCain has won the Jeremy Fulk tournament championship all four years of his high school career.

At 195 lbs Visouth Peterschmidt took home the championship with a 5-0 record. Peterschmidt pinned teammate Colton Allen to secure the title.

At 220lbs Jason Tew went a perfect 6-0 to claim the title. Tew beat Caden Van Hemert of Oskaloosa by fall for the championship.

Other top performers for the Golden Hawks included David Murray placing third at 145lbs, Brent Foster third at 152lbs, Jose Juarez fourth at 182lbs and Colton Allen second at 195lbs.

Mid-Prairie placed fifth out of nine teams participating with their overall score of 118 points. Eddyville-Blakesburg won the team championship with 220 points. Mid-Prairie will next be in action Thursday, December 8th when they host North Cedar and West Branch in a River Valley Conference triangular.
