Scarves, hats, gloves and mittens are piling onto a special Christmas tree at the Washington Public Library. All of the items placed on the tree in the library’s entryway will be donated to people in the community. Debbie Stanton, director of the Washington Public Library, says it is filling up quickly. She adds the donations will be taken to HACAP and then distributed to area children. Also, some of the items will be taken to the local schools for kids who may lose a mitten or forget their hat. Both, new store-bought or homemade items are accepted. Donations are due by Monday and can simply be put up on the tree.
