The top offensive player for the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team (1-6) leads the Southeast Conference in three-point shots made. Sarah Nacos, a second-team all-conference performer last year as a sophomore, has tallied 104 of Washington’s 268 points through seven games, an average of 14.9 points per game.

A majority of Nacos’ points have come from beyond the arc, making 19 of her 52 three-point attempts. No one else in the Southeast Conference has made more than 14 three pointers. Nacos has been Washington’s highest scorer in all seven games.

Nacos and the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team resume their season on January 3, traveling to Fort Madison for a Southeast Conference tilt versus the Bloodhounds (3-4). KCII Sports will have live coverage of the game on FM 106.1, starting with the Washington Hy-Vee Pregame Show at 5:30 p.m.
