Robert J. Ruth

Celebration of life services for 94-year-old Robert J. Ruth of Hills will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hills. Visitation will be held Friday, January 6th from 5-7 p.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. The body has been cremated and burial will take place at a later date. A memorial fund has been established for St. Joseph Catholic Churth and the Hills First Responders.

Dr. Troy Guthridge

Funeral service for 71-year0-old Dr. Troy Guthridge of rural What Cheer will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, (12/30) at Hope Lutheran Church in Sigourney.  Burial will be at What Cheer Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.on Thursday, (12/29) at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney. A general memorial fund has been established.  Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Sigourney is caring for Troy and his family.
