A senior’s streak of double-double performances helped the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves boys’ basketball team (4-4) put together a three-game winning streak prior to winter break. The Wolves finished the 2016 portion of their schedule with wins over Iowa Mennonite School (67-59 F/OT), WACO (54-27), and Pekin (71-66 F/OT).

Forward Bryce Robison recorded at least 15 points and 16 rebounds in the final three games before winter break. Robison dropped 17 points and grabbed 16 rebounds versus Iowa Mennonite School on December 13. He followed up with 15 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists in a victory over WACO. He closed out the calendar year scoring a team-high 26 points and brought down 20 rebounds in an overtime triumph over Pekin. Robison leads the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North with 126 points scored and 102 rebounds.

Robison and the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves resume their season on January 3, traveling to Mediapolis for a league battle versus the Bulldogs (2-3).
