Nine people were injured in a wreck south of Washington Monday morning. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:52 a.m. a head-on wreck with two vehicles happened on Coppock Road. The two drivers involved were Carissa Jones and Shannon Koehn, both vehicles were totaled. The Jones vehicle was traveling northbound in the 2700 block of Coppock Road and lost control, the vehicle began to fishtail and crossed the center line striking the Koehn van head on. Seven people were taken to the Washington County Hospital emergency room and two were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals. Washington Fire and Rescue and Washington County Ambulance assisted at the scene. The roads in the area were partially snow covered at the time.
