Washington school’s annual Holiday Concert for Children featuring band and choir members is being held this Thursday. Washington High School band director Don Hughes tells KCII News the high school band will play along with special guests Fred Stark and the Stewart Holiday Singers. The show will include You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, a percussion feature of Little Drummer Boy, and Carol of the Bells. He adds they’ll also present Gorilla My Dreams, “which mixes Nutcracker music and ballet with a pesky gorilla.” Costumed characters will be included.

The holiday show starts at 7 p.m. at the High School Performing Arts Center and tickets are $5 available at the door and school activity passes are accepted.
