Overnight windchills in Washington paired with single digit temperatures made it feel as though it were 16 degrees below zero. According to AccuWeather the low temperature Thursday morning was just three degrees. At 6 a.m. the wind speed was recorded at 13 miles per hour with gusts reaching 20 miles per hour.

Temperature are expected to stay below freezing until halfway through next week. Sunday’s high temperature is anticipated to be just one degree above zero. According to the National Weather Service, “dangerously cold conditions” are expected Saturday night into Sunday with windchills in the KCII-listening area possibly dropping to 20- to 30 degrees below zero.
