If you’re looking to try something new in the new year a local non-profit may be able to help. The LET’s Center for the Creative and Healing Arts offers a variety of programs from painting or yoga, to journaling and card making. Lorraine Williams with the organization says it’s important to try new things, “That’s why the whole center exists, we need to stimulate ourselves constantly with new and different things. It keeps the mind agile and excited about our accomplishments.” Williams said it was through the LET’s Center that she first held a paint brush and now has her finished painting hanging in her home. She says the new year is a good time to try a new thing. She adds they are also looking for people to teach classes or volunteer with the center.
