The Mid-Prairie girls and boys basketball teams will make the trip to Mediapolis tonight for a doubleheader.

The Golden Hawk girls enter the game with a 5-3 overall record. They are riding a four game winning streak that they took into the Christmas break.

Individually, Mid-Prairie is lead by Ali Butters who is averaging 12 points per game, ninth in the River Valley Conference. Addie Rath has the team lead and is third in the RVC with 36 assists. Ireland Hostetler is third in the conference and best on the team with 20 blocked shots. Hostetler also leads the team and is ninth in the conference with 62 rebounds.

The Mediapolis girls enter tonight with a perfect record of 7-0. In their last game before break they beat Winfield-Mt. Union 64-57. Mackenzie Rogers leads the Bullettes, Southeast Iowa Superconference is second in the state in class 2A, scoring 23 points per game. She is best on the team and second in the conference with 47 assists. Kaitlyn Thie leads the Bullettes with 46 rebounds.

The Mid-Prairie boys come into tonight with an overall record of 2-6. They were in action Monday against Highland, dropping the contest with the Huskies 66-48. The Hawks were led by Tom Butters double double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. On the season, Mid-Prairie is led by Caleb Statler at 10 points per game, 10th in the conference. He also leads Mid-Prairie and is ninth in the conference with 38 rebounds. Brad Tornow leads the Hawks and is sixth in the conference with 18 assists.

Mediapolis comes into tonight with an overall record of 3-4. In their last game they lost to Winfield-Mt. Union 49-41 on Tuesday. On the year the Bulldogs are led by Dalton Carlson at 13 points per game. Nick Ensminger holds the team lead with 20 assists. Will Schroeder has 39 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs, that’s 10th best in the Superconference.
