The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams host area school Winfield-Mt. Union tonight in a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader matchup of KCII area teams.

The Iowa Mennonite girls come into tonight’s game with an overall record of 0-13 on the year. In their last game they were beaten by Columbus 64-38. Suzanna Yoder led the way with 14 points. Yoder is the team leader in scoring at 18 points per game, fifth best in the Southeast Iowa Superconference and 43 assists, eighth best in the conference. Mia Graber leads the team on the glass with 75 boards.

Winfield-Mt. Union comes into tonight with an overall record of 4-13. The Wolves hosted Lisbon on Saturday, falling to the Lions 49-41. Lexee Hartsock led the Lady Wolves with 14 points. WMU is led on the year by Hartsock, scoring 10 points per game. Kara Wade and Karlee Schlee share the team lead with 23 assists. Pearl Krieger-Coble leads the Wolves and is third in the conference with 124 rebounds.

WMU won the first match up between these two schools 40-25, December 13th.

The Iowa Mennonite boys are 10-5 overall. They blasted Cardinal 58-28 on Saturday. Cole Ours led the way with 13 points. On the season IMS is led by Nick Yutzy and Cole Yoder who are each averaging 10 points per game. Yutzy leads the team and is third in the SEISC with 75 assists. Mitchell Schmeider has the team lead with 68 rebounds.

Winfield-Mt. Union comes into the boys game with an overall record of 6-9. The Wolves beat Columbus on Tuesday 56-46, led by 27 points and 10 rebounds from Bryce Robison. Robison leads the Wolves in all major categories, he is averaging 17 points per game, third most in the conference, has 47 assists, eighth most in the conference and leads the Superconference with 185 boards.

These two teams met on December 13th win WMU winning a wild one in overtime 67-59.

Action begins tonight at 6PM at Dwight Gingerich Court at Hillcrest Union.
