The Iowa Mennonite boys and girls basketball teams hosted Winfield-Mt. Union Tuesday in a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader.

The Lady Wolves took the girls match up 47-33. WMU opened the game on a 19-6 run that spanned the entire first quarter and took a 31-13 lead into the half. In the second half the Wolves would lead by as many as 22 before IMS closed the game on an 11-3 run in the fourth. WMU was led by Pearl Kreiger-Coble with 12 points, Hannah Matthews had 10. The loss ended a nine game losing streak for the Wolves. IMS was led by Suzanna Yoder’s 22 points. WMU is now 5-13 on the year, IMS falls to 0-14.

In the boys game Iowa Mennonite avenged an overtime loss at the hands of the Wolves in December 58-28. Iowa Mennonite rolled in the first quarter scoring 29 points in the frame to set the tone, they led 29-8 after one and 43-18 at the half. The IMS defense made the lead stand up in the second half, surrendering just 10 total points to the Wolves. In the game IMS was led by Cole Ours with 16 points, Nick Yutzy had 14. IMS is now 11-5 on the year, WMU falls to 6-10.
