The KCII Big Red Radio made nine stops across southeast Iowa Wednesday to deliver items to food pantries. Non-perishable food and toiletry items were donated at area businesses and KCII for the 14th Annual Caring Christmas Food Drive. KCII General Manager Joe Nichols said, it was a big success and the Big Red Radio was filled with items. He also extends thanks to all of those who took part and donated. Nichols adds the pantries can use help year-round.

Donations Wednesday were taken to the Church of God in Washington, HACAP in Washington, Lord’s Pantry in Sigourney, the Wellman Methodist Church, the United Christian Baptist Church in Kalona, Columbus Junction Community Action, Ainsworth Community Church, The Fellowship Cup in Mt. Pleasant, and The Lord’s Cupboard in Fairfield.
