The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team is back on the mat at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman for the final time tonight when they host the Cascade Cougars in a River Valley Conference dual.

The Golden Hawks enter tonight with an overall record of 8-4. The Golden Hawks were most recently in action Saturday at the Gladbrook-Reinbeck tournament where they took fourth place. Duncan McCain at 132lbs, Visouth Peterschmidt at 195lbs and Jason Tew at 220lbs all were champions at the event. Mid-Prairie has two ranked wrestlers in their lineup according to iawrestle.com and thepredicament.com Duncan McCain is ranked No. 9 in class 2A at 132lbs and Visouth Peterschmidt is No. 4 at 195lbs.

The Cascade Cougars enter tonight with an overall record of 10-8. In their last dual they were in a quadrangular with North Linn, West Liberty and Monticello. The Cougars beat Monticello and fell to the Lynx and the Comets. The Cougars do not have any ranked wrestlers in their lineup.
