A fire that broke out Friday morning in rural Keokuk County resulted in no reported injuries, according to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office. The fire was at a residence located at 14560 300th Avenue in Keokuk County, southeast of South English. Around 10 a.m. Friday, the sheriff’s office was alerted to the fire, and emergency crews were dispatched. The North Keokuk Fire Department was first on the scene. They requested additional aid and were joined by fire departments from Keota, Keswick, Sigourney, and Wellman, as well as the Keokuk County Ambulance. The sheriff’s office said the cause of the fire has not been determined.
