A progressive dinner will be held in downtown Washington tonight with seven restaurants taking part. Main Street Washington has organized the annual Slow Down and Savor Washington event. Each item featured will cost $3. Main Street Washington Director Sarah Grunewaldt says it’s a good time of the year to hold the event, because it’s traditionally a slow time of year for these businesses and it gives community members a chance to go out to an event in the middle of winter.
Appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts are all on the menu. Also, live music will be featured at a couple of the stops around the square. The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. To take part, simply order the featured items at the restaurants you choose to visit.
