Lincoln Elementary School’s library in Washington became host to race cars Tuesday. After school, 30 participants the 4-H STEM Club transformed recycled materials into race cars. The students worked through the engineering design process to create, test and improve their vehicles. The club will meet again January 24th to complete their recycled racers and have a final race down the halls. The students will showcase their projects at 4:30 p.m. that day to show what they’ve learned during the “Go Green Engineering” sessions. The sessions are a partnership of Washington County Extension, 4-H and Lincoln Elementary with a sponsorship from Bazooka Farmstar. The club is offered to third, fourth and fifth grade students who want to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math.
