The WACO School District is shuffling the schedule in the coming months to accommodate for a professional learning day they’re participating in with the Washington and Mid-Prairie School Districts. Friday, February 17th, was originally designated a Plus 1 Friday at WACO, but it will now be a professional development day. The missed Plus 1 Friday is being moved to March 31st, which was originally scheduled to be a professional development day. Additionally, there will be no daycare at WACO Elementary on February 17th, but there will be regular daycare on March 31st.

Jeff Dicks, the shared Washington and WACO Superintendent, and Mid-Prairie Superintendent Mark Schneider agreed to have a shared professional learning day so their teachers and administrators could listen to a presentation from Buddy Berry, a superintendent from Kentucky. Washington designated February 17th as a professional learning day, so the superintendents agreed to shuffle the other schools’ schedules to make it work. Berry’s presentation will be held at Washington High School and will discuss successful learning techniques he’s done at his school.
