The first of three straight home meets takes place this afternoon for the Washington Demon bowling teams. Lebowski’s Rock ‘N’ Bowl is set to host a Southeast Conference meet between Washington and the Mount Pleasant Panthers. This marks the fourth competition for Washington in the last seven days. Their last match took place Wednesday evening at Keokuk Bowl against the Sigourney Savages co-ed team.

The Washington boys’ bowling team enters competition today winners of their last two meets. The Demons edged the Savages, 2,440-2,332. Five Washington bowlers posted individual rounds above 300 and were led by Colin Zear with a two-game score of 381. Washington bested the Keokuk Chiefs in league action Tuesday, 2,754-2,640. Mount Pleasant edged Washington in their initial meeting, 2,749-2,591.

The Washington girls’ bowling team posted a score of 1,771 Wednesday at Keokuk Bowl. Five bowlers rolled two-game scores above 200, led by Trista Kelly with 248 pins. Washington sunk 1,109 pins in the individual round and 662 more in the baker rounds. Mount Pleasant defeated Washington in their earlier meeting, 2,046-1,519.
