A non-conference contest awaits the Washington Demon boys’ basketball team (2-7) tonight. The Demons are set to travel to Bloomfield for a tilt versus the Davis County Mustangs (2-10). The teams met last season in Washington with the Demons edging the Mustangs, 83-67.

The Washington boys’ basketball team is coming off an overtime loss Saturday versus Center Point-Urbana, 64-58. Jaivonn Willis recorded a double-double for Washington, pouring in a game-best 21 points and 13 rebounds. Jack Redlinger added 14 points in the setback. Washington held a 39-32 lead after the third quarter; Center Point-Urbana outscored Washington, 32-19, over the final 12 minutes.

Davis County snapped an eight-game losing streak Saturday in Keosauqua, defeating the Van Buren-Harmony Warriors, 48-33. Nick Slayton is the Mustang’s leading scorer with 135 points. Zach Houf has brought down a team-best 46 rebounds. The varsity game is set to tip-off at 8 p.m. in Bloomfield.
