The renewal of the superintendent contract, including the sharing agreement with WACO, will be discussed at Wednesday’s Washington School Board meeting. The two boards approved the sharing agreement last spring and this is the first school year that Superintendent Jeff Dicks has been shared by the districts. He spends 70% of his time in the Washington district and 30% at WACO. In a statement, Dicks explained he still enjoys the shared position, and he looks forward to helping both districts through challenges in the future.

In other business, the board will consider a one-to-one device refresh, a soccer sharing agreement with Pekin, and a Business Professionals of America National Convention trip to Orlando, Florida in May. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Central Office.
