A body was found in the Iowa River south of Hills Access Thursday. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office announced, Thursday afternoon at 12:43 p.m. a call came in of a possible body floating in the river. Deputies responded to the scene with boats and confirmed the report. The body was recovered about 1:51 p.m. and is that of an unidentified woman. The Johnson County Medical Examiner’s office transported the body to the University of Iowa where an autopsy will be performed. The investigation is ongoing.
