A man was arrested in Brighton for assault on a peace officer Saturday night. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 8:18 p.m. Saturday a call came in stating someone was walking around the caller’s property but didn’t see who it was. Authorities responded to the 400 block of South Harrison Street and arrested 47-year-old Gary Schultz of Brighton for disorderly conduct, assault on a peace officer no injury, interference with official acts, and harassment of a public official. A vehicle was towed from the scene. Schultz was taken to the Washington County Jail.
