The Keota Eagle boys basketball team saw their season come to an end Tuesday night in the district semifinal round of the class 1A playoffs, falling to the Danville Bears 70-61 at Mt. Pleasant High School.

The Bears went up 14-11 after one quarter and outscored Keota 19-10 in the second frame to open up 33-21 halftime lead. Keota came to life in the third, putting together a 23-12 run that lasted the entire third quarter to pull within one at 45-44 going to the final eight minutes. Danville absorbed the blow and countered by outscoring Keota by eight in the last quarter to pull away and take the win. The Eagles were led in the contest by Jacob Wickenkamp with a double double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Hunter Wilson had 13 and Avery Conrad 10. The Eagles will say goodbye to six seniors: Anthony Campbell, Logan Sieren, Jace Uphold, Jacob Wickenkamp, Cole Stout, and Avery Conrad. With the loss Keota ends their season at 17-6.
