February Off to Warm Start, Temperatures Expected in the 60’s Friday

February has been feeling more like spring than winter as of late. High temperatures have been climbing into the 50’s the last few days and the forecast calls for the high temperature Friday to be 64 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, the average temperature so far this month has been 30 degrees, above the normal 23.4 degrees. The record high average temperature for February was set in 1987 at 39.3 degrees. Looking at the year-to-date data, Washington’s average temperature has been 27.6 degrees, about six degrees above the normal temperature. Mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures are expected into the weekend, listen to KCII for weather updates.
